Why are we called Scratchbac?

What do you think of the name Scratchbac? (We dropped the K for added "coolness").

"You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours"

Yep, you've guessed it! The name Scratchbac is from the phrase "You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours". But what does that mean? Some users have told us that there is a negative connotation to the phrase and we should change our name.

Circle of Reciprocity

Well, to us, Scratchbac means a Circle of Reciprocity. It means a community so connected that people are willing to do things for one another and keep the ball rolling. Or, as the McGraw-Hill dictionary puts it, "I will do something for you that I cannot do myself". And if everybody has the same mentality, we believe that the favour will certainly keep paying forward, ultimately coming back in a circle.

Also, it is never a loss if we get free marketing from a catchy name that gets the conversation going!
